Description
This is part of the 2023 series of Bi-monthly Women Entrepreneurs Huddle meetings. The objectives of these Huddle meetings are to have members of The Koa Club who are founders and entrepreneurs meet to discuss challenges they may be facing, share insights and guidance from knowledge and experiences gained along the way through their endeavors, and generally provide a supportive forum for one another.
This month’s topic: When to Call it Quits
Starting a business is always going to be hard. If it wasn’t, everyone would own a successful startup. And while it’s great to give things a red-hot go, there’s no shame in admitting when things just aren’t working out for you and your business. A successful entrepreneur requires a certain amount of stubbornness, but it can also be the thing that stops them from letting go when they should. So, if you’re an aspiring entrepreneur (or even if you’ve been in the business for years), how can you tell if it’s time to let go and move on?
Quitting something comes with a certain amount of guilt, which is pretty unavoidable. But there’s absolutely no shame in walking away from something that isn’t going to benefit you. While it might feel like a blow to your pride, admitting that your business is going nowhere can only open you up to future projects that have a much better potential. We will be discussing the signs of entrepreneur burnout, and how to not lose yourself in the process of having a successful business.
We will invite special guests to attend who can provide valuable insights, information or resources to the Huddle.
