The Top 10 Financial Mistakes Women Can Make…and why these should matter to you Now!
It is probably not a surprise to anyone to read that they may be making at least some financial mistakes, perhaps here or there, small or large, and some more than others. It may be a surprise to read, however, that comprehensive financial planning is vast and complex. I saw a coffee mug the other day which read “Please don’t confuse your Google search with my professional degree”. The same could be said for financial planners/advisors. Google is full of information, but devoid of the wisdom that only a highly trained professional could diagnose, design and execute for each unique individual. Women face some financial challenges which are unique to them, and thus, are susceptible to mistakes; and mistakes can (and do) come at a huge price. One example is financial literacy. We aren’t taught this in school, and it’s not uncommon to find that women fear the topic and don’t feel empowered to understand their financial situation. Time has a way of working for or against you, and the head in the sand approach won’t make it go away. This talk will dive into some of the small and BIG mistakes that I see women make, and why it is critically important to your financial success to take a deeper dive into your own situation to make sure you aren’t taking these missteps; even if you think you’re all set!
