In a December 2019 article by Forbes Magazine titled: “Executive Presence: 8 Warning Signs That You Don’t Have It,” it states that “[e]xecutive presence is more about how other people experience you. It is also about confidence, but executive presence is less about how confident you are in your own abilities than it is in how confident others are in your abilities….To the extent that executive presence is about you, it is about your ability to inspire confidence in others to trust you; it is about your ability to inspire others to listen to you; it is about your ability to make others comfortable approaching you. And it is about your ability to elicit the trust necessary for others to seek you out for advice.”

Many of us have probably encountered someone, whether in our workplace or in our personal lives, where we immediately felt that the person had an “It” factor, whether its because they seem to fill the room with their presence when they walked it, the way they carried themselves with poise, confidence, decisiveness and dignity, or the words that they say which inspire us to our core.

Our panelists will share their insights on how they worked at building their incredible executive presence and how we can possibly acquire and embody executive presence in our interactions with others.

Penny Williams, VP of Marketing at Voxy Engen.  Penny is forward-thinking leader with demonstrated creativity, the ability to innovate and champion new ideas, and strong project management skills. She also held leadership positions for the Seattle chapter of the non-profit organization, LWT.
