Description

We all go through transitions in life.  Some transitions seem easy, because they are usually changes we are making to in our life, but real life transitions has us ask ourselves questions such as, “Who am I?,” “What am I doing?,” “Is this all there is to life?,” and so much more.  This presentation will address what life transitions look like, the difference between a life change versus life transition, the three stages we go through during life transitions and questions and activities you can do to help you navigate the transition process.

About the Speaker

Gayle Johnson is the founder of EVOLVE Life Coaching. She helps companies and governmental organizations maximize employee effectiveness through emotional intelligence leadership training and coaching.  Gayle also is a Certified Life Coach helping people through key quarter-life or mid-life transitions.  Gayle also is a Certified Reiki Master, helping people to move stuck energy out of their energy system to enhance their mental, physical and emotional body.

Life Coach:

Gayle has been a life coach almost five years now and educates people on the difference between change and transition and how to navigate the psychological process of transition.  Helping people manager the process of self-redefinition that you go through to be able to meet the changes in your life and how to transition from outlived life-chapter to finding a new one to replace it.

Leadership Development:

Gayle says of her experience: I have enjoyed the role of political strategist, workshop facilitator, and transformational leader for over 20 years. My effective leadership style has been developed through her own life transitions, coaching high-level leadership, mid-management, and frontline employees, on the importance of emotional intelligence, and how applying it creates high-performing teams, helps retain good talent and ultimately increases revenue. To support my experience as a transformational thought leader, I pursued a Master of Transformational Leadership at Seattle University.  Unfortunately, I had to drop out of the program to tend to my mother who became ill.

This knowledge informs my understanding of the theory behind what it takes to be an impactful leader, team member, employee, and how to manage one’s emotions while working in diverse organizations and managing the new demographic of employees – Millennials. I love people and enjoy seeing them access their happiness and move their lives forward.

Gayle is a Seattle native. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, attended the legendary Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, then transferred to the University of Washington, where she received a B.A. Degree in Political Science.
