Informational Session for 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program
January 17 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm PST
The Koa Club
Our comprehensive 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program is tailored for all professionals committed to public service, aiming to cultivate both personal and professional development while strengthening leadership skills within the distinctive context of the public sector. Participants embark on a journey of self-discovery, guided by expert speakers and facilitators. The 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program delves into multiple topics that are carefully cultivated to foster personal growth and to help participants succeed and thrive in the workplace, including essential leadership competencies, emphasizing adaptability, strategic thinking, and effective decision-making. Through immersive workshops, the newly created Guided Practicum and the small group Mentorship Huddles, participants gain practical insights in how to navigate complex challenges that they can apply directly to their roles, driving tangible results in their respective government positions.
A key highlight of the 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program is the emphasis on fostering diversity and inclusion. Recognizing the value of diverse perspectives, our program cultivates an environment where everyone collaborates seamlessly, leveraging their collective strengths to drive innovation and excellence in their workplace. By combining comprehensive leadership training, mentorship, and a commitment to diversity, this program equips participants to not only thrive in the unique public sector workplace but also contribute meaningfully to the advancement of their organizations and the communities they serve.
From 2020-2023, our Follow My Lead Programs have been opened only for participation by women and those who identified themselves as women. For the 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program, we are expanding our program to include all genders. Including all genders in our 2024 GovFollowMyLead Program is a strategic move to break down traditional gender stereotypes and encourage collaboration across diverse perspectives. We wish to have everyone understand the unique challenges that different genders may face in the workplace, we promote a deeper understanding of gender dynamics and create a more empathetic and supportive work environment for everyone.
During this brief Informational Session, we will share details about the Program, the newly developed Guided Practicum and about our successful Mentorship Huddles Program. We have also invited past Huddle Mentors and participants to join us to share their thoughts about their experience with the Program. Come join us and learn about this exciting new Program for 2024 that will be transformational and inspirational for your professional growth and leadership development in 2024!
