Description

What is the Featured Panelists Spotlight?

Our Featured Panelists Spotlight will be held on a Wednesday of each month. During the Featured Panelists Spotlight, we invite guest panelists to share their experiences, insights, tips and strategies that they have found to be effective in their professional or personal lives when tackling the featured topic for the month.

November Featured Topic – What Does It Mean To Be Your Best Self?

Congratulations! You’ve decided you want to be your best self… Now what? Nothing can make you question your achievements and goals like looking too hard at what other people are doing. Reading about someone else’s promotion on LinkedIn or scrolling through photos of their new house on Instagram is a shortcut to the mentality that your best self has to be compared to others.

So what does it actually mean to be your best self? How will you know you’re moving in the right direction? How do you know if something really is your best? We talk about how to use these questions to address when you believe your best self has been achieved.

Panelists-

Paul Haury guides people to experience belonging, in self-belonging, in their own brilliance, and within their company tribes, to really live & perform better than they ever imagined. He’s been an IT Director, a construction and a tech entrepreneur, a teacher, a building maintenance mechanic, child development counselor, marine mechanic, and a McDonald’s employee. In his most recent endeavors, he’s served as VP of people & culture and as a professional coach, specializing in belonging and optimal performance for individuals and OrgDev. He’s a guy who loves using belonging to get people living into their brilliance of their work & personal lives. In service of that, he coaches, he mentors, he chooses optimism & does his best to learn what motivates each person to work with how they can fully live, be better and get into their promised land. For those really committed to making what they have GAS (give-a-sh!#), getting unstuck, and shifting to their extraordinary level, he is their second heart and sets of eyes & ears, to help move them through their fears and deep into their aspirations. Jillie Johnston is a Worthiness Coach, Speaker, and Co-Founder of Woman Up. As a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser, Jillie knows what it’s like to put her worth outside of herself – achievements, approval, accolades, income, and impact. After overcoming sexual abuse, her parents divorce, being a Division 1 athlete, and an international co-founder of a nonprofit, she still craved someone else’s love and approval. She needed that to feel enough. Through those experiences, she realized it was time to stop seeking love and worth outside of herself. It was time to go within. 8 years later, she is an international speaker & coach on self-worth, leadership, and living life on your own terms. She helps people see and cultivate their sense of self worth to create a life that sets their soul on fire. She’s living proof of this work as her partner, their cat, and herself travel around the country in their van as she spreads this message: You’re more than enough. You always have been. You always will be. It’s time to know your worth like never before. She has consulted with Davita Health Inc, held workshops at University of Michigan Medical School, held courses and workshops for the Wounded Warrior Project & 99walks, is a US Ambassador for One Young World Leadership Conference, and was part of a speaker series from Peru to Chicago on Worthiness & Empowerment. She has served thousands of women around the world through retreats, groups, 1:1 coaching, and facilitation. If Jillie isn’t facilitating workshops or serving her clients, you’ll find her in her van traveling around the US and saving stray animals.
