Description

What is the Featured Panelists Spotlight?

Our Featured Panelists Spotlight will be held every first Wednesday of each month. During the Featured Panelists Spotlight, we invite guest panelists to share their experiences, insights, tips and strategies that they have found to be effective in their professional or personal lives when tackling the featured topic for the month.

August Featured Topic – Conducting Difficult Conversations

By the time your day has ended, have you argued with your spouse or kids, provided feedback to someone who has not performed to your expectations, spoken to a difficult vendor or customer, or negotiate for something you wanted. We encounter difficult conversations pretty much day, which can be emotionally and mentally draining and there is no surprise that we may often try to avoid these difficult, challenging or hard conversations.

Our panelists will share their best practice strategies on tackling commonly encountered difficult conversations, providing tips to help us stay focused on the topic, keep our emotions at check and find effective ways to address the problem at hand in a collaborative manner.  By managing the difficult conversations properly, it can help to strengthen the relationship between the two parties, rather than creating an environment of distrust and anger, damaging valuable relationships.
