Topic of the Month: Intrapreneurship and Innovation

What is Collaborate for Success Huddle?
Once a month, The Koa Club hosts an online Huddle for our Premium Members. This huddle provides a safe and encouraging space for professionals to engage in honest, supportive and thought-provoking discussions. We dive into topics that are highly relevant to professionals as they navigate the ever-evolving challenges and opportunities in their work and personal lives.  We often invite a special guest to help lead the discussions in each of the Collaborate for Success Huddle event.

Leading Change at Work

Change is everywhere and more change is happening.  Some leaders are helping people amp up their engagement as teams hit walls from being understaffed. Other leaders are preparing people to come back to the office. Still other leaders are helping people transition to new areas of focus as market and business conditions shift in the coming year. All kinds of changes require great leadership for success. One of the most important elements of successful change is people who share a vision of the future. Great leaders paint a compelling picture of what the future could be. Giving people a sense of what things will be like and how their role and contribution will be important to the team, will create organizational success.

Featured Guests:

Amy Trenary has spent much of her 20+ year career building and executing results-driven go-to-marketing strategies in hyper-growth, highly-matrixed technology organizations. She’s a top performer whose calm, open and data-driven approach to solving complex problems balanced with her bias for action and ability to drive alignment with all stakeholders to deliver strong results have won her recognition from her leadership team, peers, direct reports, and partners. Amy’s a firm believer that all leaders have a moral obligation to raise up the next ones in line by passing on valuable knowledge and insights they’ve learned throughout their career (and life!). As a woman in tech, she intimately understands the barriers women in particular may face as they juggle advancement in their careers and their personal lives, and has mentored dozens of colleagues along their journey in reaching their goals. Currently serving as the Chief of Staff to the VP of the Americas Cloud Sales at VMware, Amy acts as a general manager to a 400+ team and supports both her direct executive and leadership team with strategic planning, change management/organizational health, and GTM strategy. She’s an Arizona State University graduate with graduate certificates from the University of Washington and Northwestern University, an Executive Advisor for Iternal Technologies, and launched a wellness marketplace on 2.4.24.

Outside of work, Amy loves spending time with her husband, 17-year-old son, and extended family and friends. Turquoise blue ocean water, baby’s belly laughs, entertaining friends/family, the burn from a barre or pilates class, white wines and anything coconut fill her bucket list.

Marriot Winquist partners with executives to increase their strategic impact without compromising excellence, authenticity, or joy. As a seasoned executive in the technology industry with over 20 years of experience leading technical, marketing and product teams, Marriot knows that success is created from the inside out: within each person, within each team, within each organization. When ambitious leaders unlock the joy in leadership, they create thriving teams, cultures, and organizations that can change the world. Marriot is also deeply committed to advancing women in leadership. Her recent works include: Co-Creator of Asian Women Executive Program, Power Talk Speaker at Women In Cloud Digital Summit, and Volunteer Professional Advisor at the University of Washington Foster Consulting Program. She is now an executive coach, advisor and speaker at BrightTree Consulting, focused on serving and inspiring senior leaders to create the best impact in their lives and others. When not working, she can be found testing out new recipes, catching some zen with yoga, and learning Korean on Duolingo.
