On the second to last Friday of every month in 2022, The Koa Club will host an online Huddle focused on women supporting other women in their professional and personal endeavors.

Join us in fellowship with other professional women to foster community, empower each other and provide ongoing collaborative opportunities, which we believe to be crucially important, especially during these particularly challenging times. We want to build a culture where women can get inspired, support, learn, share resources and information, and have a safe place to ask questions and be vulnerable, authentic and open.

Each month will focus on a different topic. For October, we will discuss the topic of “How to Fast Track Your Way Up the Corporate Ladder”.

The expression “How to Climb the Corporate Ladder” signifies progress inside an organization from the basic level to the top level through promotions. The corporate ladder seems hard to climb because organizations commonly have significantly more entry-level positions and fewer positions to enter mid and upper-level management positions. A quick climb to the top can be trying— and not everyone wants to make the trek in a conventional way.  In the 1970s or 1980s, it was assumed you’d join a company, work hard, pay your dues and climb up the ladder at that firm. Those were the unwritten rules of the game. But the world has changed, and people no longer stay at one firm for the entirety of their career. However, one thing holds true today: Most people still want to grow as a professional and get to the top, even if they do it laterally.

Let’s chat about what that means and how we could effectively continue upwards on our career path while maintaining flexibility.
