Dear Members & Friends of The Koa Club,
We recognize that this may be an incredibly stressful time for most as we face a constantly changing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation around the world. Here at The Koa Club, the safety, health and well-being of our members, our partners, our friends, our community and our staff continue to be of the utmost importance to us. In times like these where everyone has been asked by our government to practice social distancing in order to help slow down the spread of COVID-19, we’re dedicated to finding effective and safe ways to continue providing the events that we have carefully curated for you.
Today’s message is intended to provide you with news about the future of The Koa Club, a list of our upcoming events in March and April, as well as helpful resources on how to stay safe and healthy which we hope you will find useful.
We are continuing to monitor the implications of COVID-19 and as things evolve in unexpected ways, our goal for the Club will be to rapidly adapt during this unprecedented time in order to continue maintaining a strong resilient community that our members expect and deserve.

From the CDC: What You Need to Know
By now, we are sure you have probably gotten a ton of emails about COVID-19, from your company to your neighborhood dry cleaners. We first apologize for adding our voice to the many reminding you to follow guidelines from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and your local health authorities, but we truly believe it’s important to stay vigilant in ways to protect ourselves and each other during these challenging times. The CDC’s website provides a wide range of useful information, from proactive measures around disease prevention to the symptoms to watch for. It even provides measures and suggested actions for caregivers, schools, healthcare workers and those who are traveling.
Most notable to us? Their commitment to squashing rumors around COVID-19. We encourage you to check out the CDC’s 5 key facts here.
The Koa Club’s New Direction
As you are all well-aware, there has been a nationwide policy put into place of social distancing and self-quarantine. These practices may seem extreme but are necessary in helping to staunch the spread of COVID-19.
Now you may ask: How does one go about running a successful social and professional club when our members (and the nation) are being asked to maintain a six-foot distance from one another, stay indoors, and work from home? We have given very careful thought on this challenge and the answer is simple – the most valuable thing we can do for our members and the community at large during these uncertain times, is to keep our community connected as much as possible. So, while event venues have shut down, restaurants are only open for take-out or delivery and our favorite small businesses have shuttered their doors (some sadly forever), we are committed to staying open as best as we can, and to do so, we are moving our much-anticipated events online as a livestream.
We have created, and expect to continue creating, amazing interactive events to help our members socialize with others, learn useful professional, leadership and other practical life skills, and build meaningful relationships. By delivering our events online, we know we can give what our members need most at this time – an outlet to stay connected with others and to continue to better ourselves for the future. Once the threat of COVID-19 is over and we are all allowed to gather in-person again in groups, we will continue to maintain the delivery of our events online, and where appropriate, add local in-person events to supplement the online events.
If you are a woman achiever and not yet a member of The Koa Club, we encourage you to join us at this time. We want to make our community as available as we can to the many amazing women out there during this uncertain time by offering the following special promotion:
- If you sign up for annual membership at The Koa Club from now until May 31, 2020, your annual membership fee for the first twelve months of membership will only be $125 (50% off from the regular annual price of $250/year).
